The Serbian black comedy appreciated by audience at Moscow International Film Festival and released theatrically in Czech, Slovakia and Mexico this year, was acquired by Time-In-Portrait for VOD and video. The film marks the company’s second acquisition from Media Move after „Carte Blanche” in 2015.
MEDIA MOVE scored sales to two territories of the critics favorite „The Lure”. W Empire Company took all rights for Thailand/Laos/Cambodia and Was Sen International will release the film in Taiwan. The film has proved very succesful in Asian territories with more deals on the way.
The film’s American release was followed by amazing reception from critics many of whom referred to a certain other musical on big screen now. The film will hit the theatres on February 1st thanks to a renowned distributor Janus Films working closely with the famed Criterion Collection. Entertainment Weekly has premiered American trailer exclusively on it site – you can watch it here. “Did you enjoy La La Land but thought it would have benefitted from more singing (and sinister) mermaids?”
The award-winner from Shanghai International Film Festival made it to selection of NYC fest which then expands into several different American cities including Boston, Chicago, Portland, Salt Lake City and more. The Director of “Carte Blanche” will be in attendance at New York screenings to take part in Q&A session.
The film was awarded with Grand Prix at the Inclús, Barcelona International Disability Film Festival. The Director was there to accept the prize.
