It is the spring of 1944, World War II is in its final stages. In a remote Serbian village, the largest single rescue operation of American and Allied pilots in world aviation history, known as Operation Halyard, is underway. Heroes of Halyard is a story about the three Jović brothers and their families torn between conflicting ideologies. Mirko fights in the units of the Royal Yugoslav Army in Fatherland, Sreten has joined the Partisans, while Ilija, the youngest male successor, his father wants to safeguard, is torn between two sides.
